DC Door Company

Installation

You’re welcome to purchase your own equipment, however it's not recommended. We purchase all equipment straight from the manufacturer and ensure all parts meet safety requirements and are the right parts for your project.

All doors and equipment are covered by a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. Repair and installation services are covered by a one (1) year labor warranty.

If your new equipment is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, DC Door Company will repair or replace the defective part at no charge for labor for up to one (1) year from the date of installation of the defective part. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the original sales receipt or invoice for all warranty work—failure to do so may result in the customer being responsible for any labor costs.

We highly recommend replacing your old track anytime you replace your garage door panels. Tracks are designed to fit the specific offset of each door to ensure they open and close properly. Using your old tracks can pose a safety hazard and damage your home.

New tracks are inexpensive and easy to install, and are often required under your manufacturer's warranty to be replaced at the same time as your door. Plus, they are clean and quiet!

Not always. We will inspect your current opener at the time of estimate and recommend a replacement only if necessary.

Hauling away your old door is included anytime DC Door Company installs a new door.

Upgrading your garage door can add to the resale value and curb appeal of your home. It’s important to research different door types before you make your purchase.

Steel doors are more durable and less expensive than wood doors. They’re easier to install and can be used with or without garage door openers. Steel doors can be insulated and tend to have longer warranties and require less maintenance. Some steel doors can now even imitate the look of wood.

While wood doors cost more and are harder to maintain than steel doors, there are more options available to customize the look of your door. Wood doors can be stained or painted to match the exterior of your home. They won’t dent and come in a variety of styles. Due to the weight of the panels, wood doors are harder to install and require door openers to keep them on track. The wood can warp due to humidity, rain, and heat, so it’s important to keep up with the maintenance of your wood door.

Carriage house doors combine an old-fashioned look with modern day technology. Doors are made to resemble antique carriage houses with detailed windows and hardware, but are made to function like modern day sectional overhead doors. They are available in a variety of styles made from steel or wood, paint or stain grade. A carriage house door can add charm to the face of any home.

LiftMaster wifi openers let you easily connect your phone to your garage door. You can also add the LiftMaster myQ system to your existing opener to make it work with your smart home.
